crystallography of the material. The elastic behavior, strength, and ductility were
calculated from tensile test results. The Young's modulus, strain distribution, and
localized strain values in the gage length were evaluated from the DIC data. The

microstructural analysis revealed presence of ferrite, cementite, and
martensite/retained austenite constituent phases. The Young's modulus, yield strength,
and ultimate tensile strength were found to be 196 GPa, 707 MPa and 792 MPa,
respectively. The total elongation and uniform elongation values were 15.3% and
revealed ductile fracture of the alloy. Using DIC, a continuous increase in longitudinal ᇏݓࣁඋ࿐߶
ᇏݓࣁඋ࿐߶
strain was noted in the necked region whereas it plateaued outside the necked region.
